How counselling can help you
Support that makes a Difference
I am an integrative practitioner which means I draw on a number of theoretical models to meet your individual needs. My core way of working is Person-Centred, so first and foremost I will talk to you about what you would like to gain from counselling and support you to achieve your personal goals. I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address specific problems which may benefit from a more structured approach. Other approaches include solution focused brief therapy, transactional analysis and I am comfortable working through the medium of art and crafts. This can be particularly therapeutic for younger people and for those who find it easier to express themselves through the medium of art.
Time, Place, Space
It's good to talk, being really heard and understood. This is where professional counselling I believe can really make a difference to your day to day health and wellbeing.
I am kind, caring and friendly with the goal of offering you a space where you can explore your feelings in safety and confidence without the fear of judgement. Whether it is to 'get things off your chest' or simply talk about what is troubling you, it could be a past event or something that happened yesterday.
